The management gurus have come up with several marketing models. Amongst them, several have walked in and out of the market. One marketing strategy that has consistently prevailed and will continue to do so is the AIDA marketing model.
The AIDA has been in practice for many years. It is a technique in which those who are in charge of marketing draw the consumer's attention. AIDA stands for action, generate action, desire and specified action. AIDA is about network marketing. Lets us look at the overview of this special technique:
Attention
In order to get attention from the consumers of the market, you have to be aware of the demands of the consumers. The customers are interested in how your product will bring about a solution to their problems. You should be prepared to present the USP s of your product.
The headings should be written in bold letters and should be made careful so that they attract their attention outright. It is important to arrest the attention of the consumers with some specific words. These words are "free" or "discounts" etc. you might ask them questions with which they will quickly associate themselves. It is best to be specific and catchy.
Interest
You can generate interest at the outset by following the above mentioned rule. But it is equally important to hold on to the interest. Use short sentences because they are usually catchy and can be made appealing. You should use lucid, plain language. Remember this that the customer has to understand you.
You are writing for everyone. You are not writing only for the crme. Jargons are not always appreciated. Clichs sound very boring. Things like "best in the business" are repetitive. It is best to be honest. Make promises that you can live up to. The customers are not fools.
Desire
You should generate desire in your customers. She should look forward to using your product. You should influence her so much that she can almost picture herself using the product. For this you can uphold a professional look of your product. Or you can also uphold the fruits of using your product. For example, for advertising a dry cleaner, show a dirty jacket and then a cleaned one. This is the way to go about it.
Action
Your actions should be directed to motivate customers to make the purchase. You can do this by highlighting the USPs of the product time and again. For instance, apple made I pods and continued to advertise its features. The ipods sold like hot cakes. You need to network your goal in such a way. Networking your goals will enhance sales.
Financial freedom is a cause for the success of AIDA.
