Airolo is both a summer and winter getaway set in the upper valley of Ticino along the Leopontine Alps

You can use a bus ride if you also want to avoid walking to the cable car that will bring you towards the Ritcom lake area.If you start your trip from Zurich, you can choose to ride the Interregio train via Gotthard tunnel going to Airolo and it proceeds up to Bellinzona and Locarno. The rail transport will take approximately two hours before reaching the resort.
