, may seem like an odd idea and rightfully so. When most people think of purchasing these types of items, it's probably hard for them to believe that just anyone would want to receive them, let alone use them. Now, of course, there are some people who would flat-out refuse this type of present. That's because they may be big supporters of a school that's considered a rival. With that being said, there are several reasons why purchasing Alabama merchandise as a gift for people who were not or are not students of the university, could actually be a good idea.

First of all, it's not a bad idea to purchase these items for most people, because many of them are actually very useful. For instance, some of the things these stores sell are shirts, shorts, sweaters, jackets, phone cases and even cups. Everyone can use these things no matter what school they attended or graduated from. So, just because it may include the university's logo doesn't mean that a non-graduate can't find it useful.

Another reason why it's okay to purchase Alabama merchandise for people who are not current or past students is because there are a lot of people who actually admire the school. They may not be hardcore fans who watch all of the football, basketball and baseball games. They may have never even stepped foot on the campus a day in their lives. However, they may have come to like and admire the school quite a bit just from the good things they've heard about it. So, actually receiving a gift with the logo on it would actually be something they'd truly appreciate.

It would also be a great gift for just about anyone in this particular state. It can be a grandfather, grandmother, aunt uncle or cousin. To them, just having something that represents their state is enough for them to be appreciative of receiving Alabama merchandise. There are some people who have so much pride in their state that they gravitate to anything with their state's name on it. It doesn't necessarily have to be a certain school, logo, color or style. Just being able to represent where they are from is enough for them.

So, contrary to what some may believe, purchasing Alabama merchandise for people who have attended the school isn't the only option. There are many people who've never stepped foot on the campus who would appreciate these types of items as well.
