Brachioplasty, commonly known as an arm lift, is a procedure in which excess skin

What happens during an arm lift?

The first step in brachioplasty, like most surgeries, is having the area marked out by your surgeon with dissolvable ink to guide the surgery or liposuction. Anesthesia is next provided with either intravenous sedation or general anesthesia to be determined by your doctor. Incisions are placed under the armpit and along some of the groove between the tissue planes. Excess skin and fat are removed; the skin is gathered, tucked and sewn back to itself. Some compressive garments are used in the post-operative period and close follow-up will be provided by your doctor.
