Recovery

Generally you can be active the same day your cheek augmentation has been completed. Your upper lip may feel numb and you may feel a bit drowsy. Oftentimes, some taping is applied under the lowest part of the cheek to support the new pocket. Your cheeks will probably feel sore and a bit swollen. Your doctor will prescribe pain mediation and antibiotics during your recovery period. If your incision was done inside the mouth, be prepared to eat soft foods for the first few days and to wash out your mouth after every meal. Results are obvious almost immediately, and there is a high satisfaction rate among patients who have this procedure done.
