The device is fitted with a safety pin. So, while using it at first the safety pin is pulled!

Second on the list is aiming! Aim the nozzle of the device at the base of the burning flame. And make sure that the user is approximately 8feet away from the fire.

Third step is squeezing. Here, the lever of the device is squeezed gently to release the fry drying agent.

Finally, sweep the extinguishers on to the edges of flame and make sure while sweeping the nozzle of the device remains at the flames base.

Hence, with the above mentioned step one can use the device in order to save an unpleasant fire emergency.
