These devices are often used by the defense forces to baffle terrorists about their locations in any critical mission. The device can veer away guided missiles and bombs from their path. However, in many nations of the world the use of a GPS jammer is completely prohibited. This is because the device provides scope for misuse. It can confuse aircraft and other vehicle instruments that might lead to severe accidents. Therefore GPS jammers come in various categories. There certain GPS jammers that are only for civilian use. There are others that are used by the military establishments.
