All Eyes on Killzone3

Playing Killzone 3 can be summed up in 2 words outright awesome! A sequel to 2009's Killzone 2, the game is set immediately after the events that marked the end of its predecessor. For the uninitiated ones, Killzone 3 is one of Sony's first party games which supports 3D gaming.

The game throws you straight back into the moments after the Helghast dictator's Visari death and the nuclear explosion he triggered. However, Visari's death does not imply that the war is over. In fact, it's far from over.

Following the death of Emperor Scolar Visari, the brutal and deadlier Helghast army is still trying to quell the ISA resistance. You take the role of Sev, who along with his best bud Rico and Captain Narville must struggle to escape from the Helghast.

Also there's a power struggle going on between Helghast High Command Admiral Orlock and Jorhan Stahl chairman of Stahl Arms Company to occupy the vacancy left by Viasri. Both plotting against each other and both touting their plans to destroy the ISA. Stahl has some evil plans brewing in his mind. He has managed to weaponize an element that is capable of revolutionizing the war and he wants to test it out on the human ISA troops who are trying to evacuate Helghan.

The animations and visuals of the game are simply jaw-dropping. According to Kevin Lynch of Mirror UK "Every battlefield feels alive and atmospheric, with smoke billowing from burned out wrecks. From Arctic wastelands to lush jungles, there's a huge amount of variety in the incredibly detailed landscapes you'll explore this time around."

It's believed that in terms of soundtrack and other effects, Killzone 3 is simply incomparable. This is what PSXExtreme reviewer had to say "No other shooter can equal KZ3 in regards to diverse, fitting, and supremely effective music selections, and no other shooter has this beautiful, memorable blending of combat effects. In short, no FPS battle sounds quite as good as a KZ3 battle, and that's the long and short of it. There's an urgency and a crispness to every gunshot and explosion, and the cries of the combatants are just plain invigorating. The soundtrack is a nice mix of pumping orchestral tracks, which serves to complement most any situation."
