It occurs when tissues that grow inside the womans uterus grow on the outside instead. Endometriosis may cause pain before and during the first few days of the menstrual periods. Around 30 percent to 50 percent of women with endometriosis are infertile, making it one of the top three causes for female infertility. Women with endometriosis may also suffer from very heavy periods.
DYSMENORRHEA
It includes painful periods, including severe menstrual cramps. This condition is usually not serious, but it can sometimes be caused by infection, ovarian cysts and endometriosis. Painful periods can also be eased by using heating pads or taking a warm bath. You can also take over the counter pain killers.
UTERINE FIBROIDS
Uterine fibroids are the most common, non cancerous tumors in women, who are in their child bearing age. Most women with fibroids do not have problems related to fertility and can get pregnant. But few women with fibroids may not be able to get pregnant naturally.
Few women with fibroids have heavy menstrual periods, and few may bleed in between periods.
Medications can often provide relief from many of the symptoms of fibroids, such as pain, and can even slow or stop their growth. There are also several types of surgery that can easily remove the fibroids.
