All The Baby Gear Needed To Welcome Home A Newborn

There is so much joy when you are expecting a new baby! Its very exciting but soon that excitement turns into preparation mode.

Are you ready to bring home a brand new baby? Most of us werent. I remember the first time my wife was pregnant. She told me in the parking lot of my nine to five job during my lunch break.

I was having a bad day but soon my day was brightened. However, I immediately began to think of all the stuff wed need. Did we even have a baby room available in our house?

I went into research mode and I want to tell you about it. I also made some mistakes and I want to share that with you as well.

Its almost like youre getting married again because you have to go to the store and pick out all this baby gear to put on your baby registry.

Most people automatically think of the baby room first. There are some major items that go into the room.

Crib This is where your baby will be sleeping for the next year to three years possibly. You want to look for something solid and comfortable.

Dresser/Changing Table Combo This is one item you dont want to skimp on. I made the mistake of buying a cheap one and it began falling apart after the first week not to mention it took me six hours to put it together. The instructions were basically in a different language. Find something quality and solid.

Glider There are many times you will need to sit down and rock the baby back to sleep or read them books. You dont want to sit on the floor, trust me.

Stroller After the baby room there is other baby gear too such as a stroller which you will bring with you everywhere. Some places youll need it are at the store, zoo or just about anywhere. You might even think about getting an additional jogging stroller if you are into health and fitness because youll find you need to use your time wisely once you become a parent.

Car seat You cant really even leave the hospital until a worker goes out to your car and checks it for the quality and safety of your car seat. There are a lot of cheap ones out there and I recommend you dont buy those. Were talking about the safety of your child here. Go ahead and buy a quality one that has been rated high in safety and comfort.

Those are just five of the items youll need for your new life with a new baby. I know we can only do what we can afford but remember that youll have baby showers at multiple places such as church, family and work.

One idea might be to ask for gift cards because then you can pool them together and buy all the quality baby gear you want. Its all about comfort and quality when buying stuff for your baby.
