All Time Effective Good Luck Symbols

Humans have always been conscious about the matter of security

. Old or young, boy or girl, rich or poor, everyone is driven by instinct to be in a place where they are comfortable. Regardless of whether it's a physical place or a situation, people always work for this security and one of the things they may explore is an age-old reliance on good luck symbols.

Symbols have long been part of people's lives, and the most common include the following:

Shou - This sign depicts life, age, and or a new year of life.

Wishbones are some of the most famous good luck symbols. As a matter of fact, many have been adopting this especially during Christmas, Thanksgiving and other celebrations.

A wishbone is taken from a turkey. This will be then snapped into two the next morning which means that it is kept overnight. After the wishbone is split into two, then the person who gets the larger part will have a good fortune.

Another symbol which is commonly used is Ji. This as well symbolizes luck.

Cai, which is used by many Chinese businessmen is used in offices and other business establishments to attract good luck and good fortune.

Shamrock, Clover or Four-leaf Clover - This sign originated from the Celtics. Each single leaf in the four-leaf clover has different meanings, the first being fame, the second, love, the third, wealth and the fourth, health.

It is also said that if a person has a four-leaf clover in his possession, no evil can come near him or harm him. Wearing jewelry or any accessory in a clover shape is also said to attract love. And if one dreams of this clover, it is said that the person will live happily for the rest of his life.

Another very popular symbol is the star which is believed to represent perfection or being flawless.

Stars are worn as part of a clothing during the middle ages. This is a representation of the universe which is called the Wizard's Star.

Roosters are believed to have the ability to ward off evil spirits and these are believed to symbolize good luck, fidelity, protection among others.

Science, however, has remained skeptical about these symbols because these have not been proven. But people believe in them anyway because of their faith.
