All You Need To Know About Arcoxia

According to the reports of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), nearly 50 millions adults in the US suffer from some form of arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout and fibromyalgia. Furthermore, one in five (approximately 22%) of the US adults have been diagnosed with arthritis. Nearly 294,000 children (one in every 250) under age of 18 suffer from some form of rheumatic condition or arthritis. Moreover, it has been estimated that nearly 67 million Americans aging 18 years or above are expected to diagnosed with arthritis by 2030. Arcoxia is a revolutionary anti-inflammatory drug that can help you to fight arthritis. Benefits of Arcoxia

Arcoxia is approved in more than 70 countries across the world. The generic name for the drug is Etoricoxib. The drug belongs to the class of medicines known as cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) selective inhibitors or Coxibs. The drug is used to manage swelling and pain in the following conditions:

Arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic and osteoarthritis)

Acute Gout

Ankylosing Spondylitis

Chronic muscular or skeletal pain

Lower back pain

Pain experienced by cancer patients

Arcoxia: Mechanism

Our body synthesizes two similar types of enzymes known as COX-2 and COX-1. The former plays a crucial role in causing joint inflammation, swelling and pain. Like any other COX-2 selective inhibitor, Etoricoxib blocks the action of the enzyme COX-2. This relieves the patient from pain, inflammation and swelling. However, Arcoxia does not inhibit the action of the enzyme COX-1, which plays an important role in preventing the formation of the stomach ulcers. This lowers the risk of developing stomach ailments associated with other anti-inflammatory drugs. In addition to this, Etoricoxib is not addictive, which makes it suitable for long term use. Arcoxia: Recommended Dosage

It is preferable to consume Etoricoxib only when prescribed by your physician. Arcoxia comes in the form of tablets. The recommended dosages for Arcoxia for different ailments are:

Osteoarthritis: 60 mg once a day

Rheumatoid arthritis: 90 mg once a day

Ankylosing spondylitis: 90 mg once a day

Chronic gout: 120 mg once a day

Chronic musculoskeletal pain: 60 mg once a day

You may take the tablet with a glass of water. For best results, it is preferable to take the Etoricoxib at the same time every day. In case you skip a dose, do not take extra doses to make up for the missed dosage. Just take the usual dose on the next day. Moreover, avoid taking higher doses of the medicine as it can cause increased blood pressure. It is preferable to not to take more than 60 mg of Etoricoxib a day, if you are suffering from mild liver diseases. Consult your doctor before taking Etoricoxib, if you are suffering from the following conditions:

Ulcers or other stomach disorders

Decreased liver function

Liver cirrhosis

Decreased kidney function

Dehydration

High blood pressure

High levels of cholesterol

Diabetes

Allergic to any of the ingredients of the medicine.
