All You Need To Skateboard

? It is something a little bit different and can be a lot of fun. You can go out and practice alone, head to a skate-park, go somewhere with friends or even join a group. There is not a lot of equipment needed to get going but below are the things you will need.

Of course the first thing you need is a snowboard deck. Without this all you would have is some small wheels and certainly not a lot of movement with them. You can purchase decks from actual skateboard shops or online. There is a whole range to choose from, with many opting for cool patterns and bright colours. The majority of people who take part in this sport are teenagers so having a stylish board is something that is necessary.

The next obvious step from here is to purchase some wheels. You can buy decks with wheels already fitted or you can choose your own and have a more customised board. Wheels can also come in various colours with writing or patterns on. After having designed the different sections of your board it will be great to see the end result and you will enjoy riding on it that bit extra.

One of the most important pieces of equipment you need is a helmet. Many skateboarders like to skip this step but safety is very important, especially if you are a beginner. Just like the decks and the wheels, you can pick out a coloured helmet that you like; this will look much cooler than just a plain one that you feel embarrassed to wear. May skate-parks also have rules in place to make sure anyone skating at their venue has on a helmet so everyone else will be just the same as you. Other protective equipment that would be useful are knee and elbow pads to prevent you getting annoying cuts and scratches when staring out.

After sorting out your board equipment you then need to sort out your footwear. Skate shoes are important, you cannot just go out in ordinary trainers, even though they look similar. These shoes are made with a large flat bottom so you have more grip on your skateboard and are also made with triple stitching to avoid shoes getting ripped and ruined too quickly. After checking through that you have all these necessities you will be ready to test out your skateboarding skills and have fun!
