All-new 2012 Lexus Lx570 With Excellent Led Lights Now In Oman
Toyota Motor Corporations Middle East and North Africa Representative Office has
announced the launch of its new, re-designed 2012 Lexus LX570 in the Middle East. The 2012 LX570, the flagship SUV in the Lexus lineup, has seen its key components of luxury and driving performance revised and updated, setting a new standard in the premium SUV market.
Commenting on the announcement of the 2012 model LX570, Sadayoshi Koyari, Chief Engineer, Product Planning Group, said, Since our full model change in 2007, the LX570 has seen a steady increase in sales in the Middle East due to the deep understanding of our customers needs. With the new LX, we have advanced and refined this vehicle, making it a symbol of SUVs through its dynamic styling and unparalleled driving performance.
The 2012 LX570, features changes to the exterior with a sense of presence and a distinct premium feel. L-Finesse styling is apparent throughout the new model, emphasised by the spindle grille which is created by combining the upper grille shaped like a reversed trapezoid, with a lower grille that spreads outwards in a downwards direction. This is combined with the sharp form of the headlights, equipped with high intensity discharge (Bi-HID) specifications in the low beams, along with daytime running lights (DRL) by LEDs. The front bumper is sharply chiseled which narrows down at both ends, clearly identifying the vehicle as a Lexus. The rear design features a newly designed bumper that projects a wider image, along with flowing rear combination LED lamps. The LX570 rests upon either 18 or 20 aluminum wheels that create a powerful, premium image. It comes in two new colours, Mercury Grey and Sleek Ecru.
Not only is the LX570's interior spacious, it also ensures a unique, luxurious driving experience. The steering wheel comes with paddle shift switches. Chrome plated ornamentation also portrays a high-grade image. The instrument panel has been redesigned to emphasise a refined driving experience, with a newly designed meter cluster and a colorized multi-information display. The 2nd and 3rd row seats of the LX570 can be arranged in a variety of patterns to accommodate different numbers of passengers and luggage, a process made easier due to the one-touch tumble mechanism to fold down the 2nd row seats.
The 2012 LX570 will be available in the Middle East with a 6-speed automatic 5.7L V8 engine, with a maximum output of 362hp. Driving reliability and drivability have also been enhanced in the development of the new model. The new MTS (multi-terrain select) feature optimally distributes drive force to the four wheels based on five different road surface conditions.
This is achieved by controlling the A-TRC (active traction control), which applies braking force to a slipped wheel and implements control so that drive torque can be transmitted to the road surface. The LX570 also comes with 5 speed crawl control and the newly adopted turn assist system, which is the world's first technology.
The double wishbone suspension has been adopted, and the coil spring and shock absorber control characteristics have been changed to further enhance handling, stability and ride comfort. Driving performance has also been improved due to the active height control (AHC) and adaptive variable suspension (AVS) features in the vehicle, which raise and lower the vehicle's height, and provide control over the changes that occur when the vehicle is in motion.
The LX570 is equipped with an array of features that support a comfortable driving experience. A new multimedia system allows the enjoyment of DVDs and various media sources, which can be accessed through a USB jack. Passengers can enjoy the rear seat entertainment system through 7-inch monitors at the back of the driver and front passenger seats. The LX570 also comes equipped with a multi-terrain monitor that helps drivers confirm their surroundings when driving off-road.
The LX570 is equipped with an advanced safety system that helps ensure safety in all driving conditions. The LX570 is equipped with vehicle stability control (VSC), an active traction control system (A-TRC), multi-terrain ABS with electronic brake force distribution (EBD) and a pre-crash safety system, which assists the driver with braking if there is a possibility of a collision. The stop lights in the LX570 also flash automatically during emergency braking.
A new security system has also been adopted, which uses ultrasonic sensors for the anti-theft system and is also equipped with a glass shatter sensor.
