Almost No Heat Is Generated On Your Part
Water jet is considered as green technology, and water jet produces no hazardous waste
, and at the same time reduces waste disposal cost. If we are to talk about water jet ceramic cutting, they cut off large pieces of reusable scrap material that might have been lost using traditional cutting methods. Parts can be closely nested to maximize material use, and the water jet saves materials by creating very little kerfs. Water jets normally use very little water, almost half to one gallon per minute depending upon the cutting head size, and the water again that is used can be recycled using a closed looped system. In case of water jet ceramic cutting, the waste water too is usually clean enough to filter, reuse and dispose off down the drain.
The garnet abrasive is a non toxic natural substance that can be recycled for repeated use. Water jet gasket cutting (which is actually a rubber cutting) eliminates air born dust particles, smoke, fumes and any contaminations form cutting materials. The garnet abrasive used in this case greatly improves the work environment and reduces problems arising from operator exposure. Rubbers are soft and the simplicity of any metal or material means it is fast and easy to change the material and that no tool change is required. Water jet gasket cutting making uses the same cutting head as for any other material, so there is no need to program tool changes or physically qualify multiple tools. While using water jet machine, a flat piece of material is paced on a table and a cutting head moves across the material, although in some custom system the material moves past a fixed head.
The water technology used in acrylic cutting eliminates the risk of cross contamination since there is no contact medium. What ever little heat is generated by the water jet is absorbed by the water and carried into the catch tank. The acrylic material itself experiences almost no change in temperature during machining. The result is water jet acrylic cutting machine is used, then as usual there is no heat affected zone (HAZ) on the material. The absence of a HAZ means, one can machine without handling the material generating poisonous fumes, recasting or wrapping. You can also machine parts that have already been heat treated.
Anything that can cut a 2 inch steel will make short work of flesh and bone, and here the flesh is the rubber. Water jets are very safe. A leak in high pressure water system tends to result in a rapid drop in pressure to safe levels. Water itself is safe and non explosive and the granite abrasive is also inert and non toxic. One of the largest hazards is cut from the sharp edges of material created by the water jet. The modern systems are however are very easy to learn. Water jet rubber cutting has the same technology as any other water jet cutter.
In case of water jet granite cutting there is a very low sideway a force with waterjet machine, cutting the material which does not push it. Typically the largest force is from the water in the tank of the water jet granite cutting, pushing back up against the material.
