Altia Welcomes Industry-Renowned User Experience Director

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO March 16, 2011 Altia is pleased to announce the appointment of their new Director of User Experience, Steve Tengler. Steve is a proven expert in the field of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) design and deployment, with years of experience on some of the country's top automotive teams.

Prior to joining Altia, Steve managed the global HMI development team at OnStar GM's award-winning driver assistance system. His team pioneered innovative services like their Turn-by-Turn eNav feature and the Injury Severity Predictor. To date, over 90 patents feature his work. In the past two decades, Steve has also worked for Nissan North America, Ford, and Visteon.

In his new role, Steve will help lead all customer projects through the user experience design process. His expertise with the pervasive and high-stakes challenge of driver distraction in the automotive HMI field will lend itself well to our customers' wide array of complex embedded display projects.
