Some tents come with pockets to put your things in at night. Others come with an air vent to keep you comfortable by allowing fresh air in. Some have fewer poles for lighter carrying weight. There are different material weights and be sure to check the waterproofing. It should be guaranteed.

There are different shapes. The inverted V is the most simplistic, easiest to assemble and generally has the lowest price tag. Others have a square floor and a rounded top. Still others have the square floor but the top comes to a point. Prices and quality vary. It is great to save money, but if the quality is really poor, you will have thrown your money off the side of the mountain.

No larger than the under $100 sized-tents, these deluxe models have a price range of $600.00 all the way up to $5,000. Comfort is desirable, of course. But with that much comfort, you'll want to camp out every weekend, year-round just to get your money's worth out of the investment.
