American Idol For The Music Lover!
American Idol is the reality show that brings entertainment to the music lover
. Fans can not wait to see who will stay and who will go each week. They all have their favorite entertainer and boo the judges when they unfairly choose them to leave. Fox Network is the host of American Idol, with its first show airing on June 11, 2002, and has brought it to be one of the most popular shows in America.
American Idol is looking for the best singing talent in the entire country. It holds auditions to weed the good from the bad and most of those who audition are the bad. There are three judges that are the backbone of American Idol. They are Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul, and Simon Cowell, but look fo0r changes soon. Each has major positions in the recording industry. These three decide who goes and who stays.
Those who audition must pass a two part series of cuts. The first is a short audition for the producers. This audition is performed with three others who are trying out. Those who are selected move on to the next phase. There are usually only about a hundred people who get to go to the next round from each city audition. The second faze of the audition is again in front of some of the producers of the show. The numbers of contestants are again reduced to about forty. These forty will be the ones you see auditioning for the three judges of American Idol. You can see the latest results and video performances from last weeks show at www.Idolsingershop.com
Once the forty have been packed through by the judges, those who are accepted go on to Hollywood to perform again for American Idol and are either kept or eliminated. The first day of performances in Hollywood usually means each contestant will have to sing one song that they choose from a list. Next, the contestants who are left will be put into groups and sing a song together. Final rounds mean that each remaining contestant sings a chosen song without music accompaniment.
For those who are lucky enough to move on to the finals, this eleven week course is the hardest and most grueling time of their lives. Each contestant will be asked to perform on live television each week. The theme of the song changes each time. The judges critique the contestant"s performance each week. The fans vote for their favorite and the one with the highest score is asked to leave. The winner is the one left standing and is given a million dollar record deal with a major recording label. Those who come in as runners up have usually gotten a record deal for themselves also.
American Idol might seem complicated for those who are interested in becoming the next big star but for those who love the show, we only care about seeing the final eleven weeks of tryouts and how they play out. No matter what the outcome, we all still have our favorite singers and wait patiently for their first album to appear in stores.
