In 1867, the company began the construction of the Heineken Brouwerij placed at the Stadhouderskade. It produced more than a 100 million liters, which is about 26 million gallons. With fermentation tanks, each tank able to hold about a million glasses of Heineken, are still standing along with multi story malt silos and all manner of vintage brewing equipment.
