An Experience When I Was Looking For An E-learning Course On Cisco Training
This article is to share my experience, when I was looking forward for an e-learning course on Cisco Training, with everyone
. I am sure that it would relate to many e-learners who have already bought a course and also to, many of those who are struggling and google bashing to enroll for a new course. It would be an eye opener for those who are fascinated to join an e-learning course.
Few years back, when I was an undergrad, I thought of pursuing an e-learning course. There were few friends of mine who were doing some or the other online course at that time and suggested me with their "enlightening" thoughts. I, being an IT student was interested in learning something hardcore, something practical.
I kicked off my journey to
online training with the basic "goggle search". There were multiple results to reach a solution, but ironically they ended up confusing me. There were following platforms that I came across-
To begin with, the roller coaster ride of e-learning started off with various forums. I thought that it would be very convenient for me to take a decision as I can ask others to suggest me with their experience as to which course to choose, from where to choose. I posted my query at various forums and thought that my query will be sorted soon.
Days went by one after another, my query was standing still and isolated among the crowd of other queries which were fun to reply but were useless practically. At few of the forums people replied and many others joined later on but started brawling with the clash of thoughts and then there was a chaos of useless and irrelevant comments.
I then thought of contacting career advisors over internet. There were plenty of them. I thought it would help me but I forgot that plenty of anything is too bad. Plenty of advisors again came up with plenty of advices. But this time I was not confused much. By now I had made up my mind that I would pursue
Cisco Training. But I was still not sure of which college or website to choose.
I went to several nearby institutes to get the briefing about the course. Rather than solving my doubts, they all would try to pull me towards them with a great vigor. They all seemed to be solely trying to siphon off money from me. Moreover, they all demanded quite a high fee, without any exception. This yet another bad experience helped me jump back to my decision of pursuing an online course and not from the institutes.
I looked out for several websites that provided e-learning solutions and finally after a lot of hustling and juggling I settled with one. The training outlet was simply smooth and the entire course was very economical too. It definitely added on to my CV and fetched me a humble job, after I graduated.
Now I wonder that if I had to pursue an online course anyways, then what difference did all my google bashing make. So, one advice to the e-learning aspirants would be, don"t go through the wonderland of forums, chats and reviews, just pick your pick.
