Hazardous materials are extremely dangerous things that can cause immense damage

It has been made as a rule by all the international organizations like IATA, IMO and DOT that any vehicle that transports dangerous goods should be accompanied by a FSO. A FSO is highly and adequately trained in various ways and has the ability of handling hazardous materials in the best possible manner to minimize the risks caused by them. It has been made mandatory by IATA that a FSO should be present in the high risk zone in the airport, where the dangerous goods are loaded and unloaded. Infact, the FSO should also be there in the aircraft that carries these hazardous goods. The officials are provided with special outfit so that they can protect themselves while combating the disaster caused by the harmful elements.
