An Explanation Of Resell Rights With A Kindle Twist!

There are many various resell rights with each Ebook you may purchase and these should

be taken into consideration before you click on the Buy It Now button.

The first consideration should be what do I require from this product?

Do I require this product for my own personal use or will I be selling the Ebook on to others?

This is where the Resale Rights come into effect.

There are four main Resale Rights categories to consider before making your purchase.

These are as follows:

Private Label Rights

Master Resale Rights

Resale Rights

Personal Use Rights

A brief description of these rights:-

Private Label Rights.

Private label rights allow you to make another author's work show like it's yours by changing its content. That can vary from writing an introduction paragraph or editing the title to completely modifying the Ebook any way you want and add your name to it as the creator (with or without the condition that you HAVE to modify the content). Anything allowing you to change the content (except branding an affiliate link) is called Private Label Rights.

Master Resale Rights.

Master Resale Rights gives you the opportunity to sell both the Ebook AND the resell rights. This increases value of the product significantly, because your customer may resell the product for profit too. You own the product completely.

Resale Rights.

Resell Rights work the same as Master Resale Rights, with the exception that you may sell the product and keep 100% of the profits, but you may not sell the resale rights to your customers, meaning that they are not allowed to resell it!

Personal Use Rights

These rights are self explanatory, The Ebook is for your own use and you cannot sell on this product to anyone else.

You may, from time to time come across Ebooks with no description of the rights supplied. On my site I have some Ebooks which were supplied with no explanation of the rights when I purchased them. Many Ebook sites have a rule of thumb, If the Author has not supplied rights to the Ebook, then that is their problem! Some of the sites offer a free download of a basic resale rights license for you to add to the zip file after your purchase.

Some of these Ebooks without Resale Rights are what I call Antique Ebooks which came out years before the authors decided to add rights to their product. Dont get me wrong, these antiques are as important as any new ebooks as they may contain things like long lost recipes or health cures for example.

With the introduction of Kindle, more and more people are searching the Web for ebooks and to some of these people, the antique ebooks mentioned above are as new as any other Ebook to the majority of these people.
