Holidays to the Dalaman region will take you to a very green and pleasant land

. Half of the countryside here is covered in verdant green forests, mix this with the clear blue waters and powdery soft sands and Dalaman region holidays become extremely beautiful experiences. Wherever you stay on Dalaman region holidays you cannot fail to be impressed with the views.

Not many people choose to stay in Dalaman itself although the airport is here so everyone has to pass through at some point.

Ovacik and Hisaronu are perfect examples of the natural beauty this area exudes, with pine clad hills rolling onto perfect sandy beaches. Stay in charming little villages such as Fethiye or traditional fishing villages like Kalkan.

Dalyan is a firm favourite with nature lovers and keen walkers with its stunning mountain scenery, freshwater lake and wonderful wildlife. Marmaris is one of the livelier resorts in the area and while popular with families, it also attracts the party crowd. Nearby Icmeler is much less hectic but close enough to Marmaris to enjoy the best of both worlds.

For some fascinating history why not try a day trip to the ancient ruins at Ephesus and Pamukkale.

While the beaches here are perfect for spending all day relaxing on, there are plenty of adventures to be had in the Dalaman region too. The surrounding countryside is perfect for pony trekking, mountain biking, walking and hiking. Try a deep sea fishing excursion, white water rafting or a boat trip over to the Greek island of Rhodes. Jeep safaris will see you hurtling through the mountainous terrain and theres a never ending supply of water sports on most of the main beaches.

The Dalaman region is only known as a summer destination as the winters can be cool and wet. This area is normally quieter during early and late season meaning the best time to find cheap Dalaman region holidays would have to be early May and late October.
