Entering the SEO business was never difficult for me, because I myself enjoyed the benefits that SEO can bring. I'd already heard about SEO back then, but I never considered SEO as a tool for our company's advertising and product promotions. My website was at the top of search engine results pages and I already had a stable income. My chicken processing business and my poultry plant were both doing well; I thought that they were well-established and nothing could bring them down. I was more than a hundred percent confident of my business, until bird flu came.

It was 2004 when Avian flu hit Australia. Although our company was labeled by government agencies and some major independent agricultural bodies as "Bird Flu Free", our company still suffered major revenue loss. The global pandemic alarmed consumers around the world. We lost major clients that resulted in a sweeping loss of employees.

We did everything we could. We safeguarded our poultry farms with precautionary scientific and agricultural methods. We also had to indicate these on our products' packaging, hoping that consumers might change their mind. We failed, and our company almost closed down.

Fortunately, a friend from the US called to inform me about an upcoming reunion. We exchanged pleasantries, like former classmates would. In that short call, I learned that he was doing SEO projects, (SEO Reseller to be exact) and as we talked, I shared what was happening to my business. I was so surprised that he was unaware of the avian flu pandemic. He also said that there was no such problem in the US, and that Americans were still enjoying their typical Thanksgiving turkey parties. He concluded the phone call with a promise of helping me the moment I arrive in the United States.

I relocated to the USA and realigned my business. I started from scratch and treated my business like it was just starting out. I included SEO in my marketing strategies, furnishing my website with SEO-friendly articles and videos to convince people that my products were safe from bird flu. With the help of this SEO Reseller friend, I was able to revive my chicken processing company without the efforts of drastically changing my labels and packaging. I implemented some minor changes, but the advertising was all done through SEO.

After two years, as my company soared high once again, my friend and I teamed up and founded a small corporation. It may sound absurd, but we built a corporation that specializes in meat processing products and the SEO industry. Yes, unbelievably, we are able to use this story to encourage people to include SEO in their business.
