Skymid is the first hosted hotel property management system to provide integrated pabx with property management system
. Skymid has three options to provide it is services . first one is both pms and pabx hosted and services are provided online. Second option is host pms part online where as pabx part is located at hotel"s premises. Third option to host both pms and pabx at hotel"s premises.
Telephone numbers are assigned by Hotel administrator and extensions numbers are generally assigned by the room number. ( ie room number 101 is assigned with telephone extension of 101) but hostel administrator can assign extension numbers as they prefer. If room doesn"t have active guest checked in, the phone unit can dial only frontdesk or admin staff. But if a guest is assigned to a room by a checkin, phone extension is enable and can be used to dial out as allowed by the hotel administrator. Any call taken out will be charge at the rate defined by hotel administrator and added to guest bill.
Room to room dialing is disabled by default but frondesk can create group the selected checkins so that they can dial between rooms with their room numbers.
If checked in guest dials frontdesk or allowed room number, phone will display guest name on the phone screen ( most ip phones support this and in case of analog phones it should support calling name delivery). Frontdesk can answer the guest with his name giving more personal care to hotels guests.
Minibar is another functionality that users hotel phone system. When guest has arrived to frontdesk for checkin, a person in the room service can visit guests room and check on the minibar for any items that guest has taken. If so he can takes guests room phone and enter items codes along with number of items after authenticating with pass code. Added items will automatically be added to guest bill at this checkout.
