Android takes 4 of 5 awards in the Apps for Army Challenge

Android turns out to be not only useful(and fun) in the common sense of consumers

, but now re-see as may be practical in other situations. Take for example the recent Applications to join the army Contest , which asked developers to submit proposals that can help every day, in different scenarios. Applications are evaluated in five categories by a team of army. Would you be surprised to find out Android-based applications took home boatload of awards? Not only that Android at the end of four of the top five overall winners, but they accounted for two of three in each of the five categories. Here is a short video showing what the military is looking for in the declaration.
