Animals are a large hazard to road users, as their movements cannot be predicted and they can often get spooked and panic. Its difficult to preempt their movements but its best to follow these tips and try.

When driving on country roads drive slowly and be prepared for something to run out in front of you. If an animal runs into the road ahead of you, brake. Do not be tempted to swerve as it may scare the animal into running in front of the car, and it will be dangerous to any drivers that may be behind you or coming towards your car.
