This not only helps position your thought processes to think outside of the box but also results (more often than not) in a myriad of mental journeys that would have otherwise been hugely more linear and less revealing of your true unresolved queries.
As someone wishing to let out their property for the first time, initial themes to get the creative juices flowing may include; furnished or unfurnished letting, letting contractual timeframes, appropriate rent requesting, initial deposit amounts and on-going payment methods.
Clearly this is the tip of the iceberg however; many people spend the largest amount of time ideologically debating the best place to start than the time they spend planning their next steps; so hopefully you can now emerge triumphant over that hurdle and begin information seeking.
At this stage I also feel that it is important not only ton consider the operability needs that you have as someone letting a property but also what the tenants needs are.

Consider the following:
* Inclusion or exclusion of utilities within the renting totals
* Setting expectation levels in regards to maintenance and repairs
* Confirming pet permissions
Again, the above should not be considered as an exhaustive check-list, moreover a starting point towards happy letting.
