Everyone eyes are on this sizzler. Model turned Actor Anushka Sharma is only amongst those few lucky actresses who made her debut in the Indian Film Industry with a big shot celebrity. She surely has a very long way to go in this field and she is bound to make her parents proud.

Her father Col. Ajay Kumar Sharma, and army officer and her mother Ashima Sharma a house wife along with an elder brother Karnesh a state lever cricketer, is now in the Merchant Navy. Anushka Sharma is the brand ambassador of Parachute hair oil and Vaseline.

Anushka Sharma came to Mumbai when she was 15 to become a model. Anushka was signed up with the Elite Modeling agency. She was trained and groomed by fashion guru Prasad Bidappa. Anushka has been a ramp model for many fashion shows.

Her first fashion show was as a model for Wendell Rodricks Les Vamps Show at the Lakme Fashion Week. She was Wendell Rodrick finale model for his Spring Summer 07 Collection. Later she appeared in commercials for Silk & Shine, Whisper, Nathella Jewelry and Fiat Palio.

Anushka Sharma made her Bollywood debut with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008). The film was directed by Aditya Chopra and produced under the Yash Raj Films banner. She was paired opposite superstar Shahrukh Khan. Anushka played the role of Tania, nicknamed Tani a cheerful young girl whose fiance and the wedding entourage are killed in a road accident.

Shahrukh played an introvert and sweet character Surinder Sahni or Suri who falls in love with Tani, his professor daughter. Tani marries Suri when her father on his deathbed asks her to do so. Anushka was praised for her performance as Tani.

She was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Debut as well as the Filmfare Award for Best Actress. However the film was not successful at the box office. Anushka Sharma second release was Badmaash Company (2010), produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Parmeet Sethi.

She was paired opposite Shahid Kapoor. The film also starred Meiyang Chang and Vir Das. It was a story of four youngsters who have just graduated and start to smuggle foreign good to India, thereby avoiding heavy import taxes. Anushka played the role of the feisty Bulbul, the only girl in the gang.

The film did average business at the box office. Anushka Sharma will be seen in Nikhil Advani next film Patiala House, opposite Akshay Kumar. The film also stars Asin, Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia. It is slated for release in February 2011.

Anushka will also star in Band Baaja Baaraat, produced by Yash Raj Films. The film is directed by debutant director Maneesh Sharma. Anushka will be seen opposite newcomer Ranveer Singh. The film is a romantic comedy. It is slated for release in December 2010.

Anushka will also be seen in Desi Boyz, alongside Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Anushka Sharma. Soon after this she was linked with Shahid Kapoor after his break up withPriyanka Chopra. It was recently rumoured that she has dated models Namit Khanna and Zoheb Yusuf in the past.
