In just a few seconds a little fear can turn into a panic attack. All of a sudden your heartbeat is racing, you begin to sweat profusely and you feel like your losing control. The added fear of crashing makes it an even more horrifying and dangerous experience.

It's not surprising that some people refuse of dread getting back into a vehicle. While some people simply stop driving, panic attacks treatment can help those who want to conquer their anxiety and start driving again. Driving is a necessity for some people.

If you don't have satellite navigation, make sure to plan your journey. If possible avoid peak driving times. Put on the radio or a CD to calm you and pay attention to any tension that you have. Take nice and slow easy breaths and let your shoulders drop. Remind yourself that you will arrive safe and sound, and use positive affirmations.

If you start to feel anxious, don't worry, continue to breathe deeply and reassure yourself that it's just adrenaline in your body. If a panic attack is inevitable pull over to a safe area as soon as possible. Some people find breathing into a paper bag helps them to calm down.
