Apple Introduces Ios 6 Beta For Iphone And Ipad
In a presentation at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco the new mobile operating system iOS 6 took the center stage
. As it was expected, Apples SVP of iOS software, Scott Forstall appeared on the stage to announce the launch of this OS for iPhone and iPad. This was welcomed by the global audience watching this conference with excitement and curiosity to know about the features of iOS 6. The latest Apple mobile operating system is expected to have more than 200 features.

Siri
Siri, the voice recognition tool offered by Apple with its mobile operating system has been further improved in iOS 6. Now it includes languages like Italian, Mandarin, Catonese and more and offer some new services to its users. This is going to be introduced with iPad for the first time.
Siri can now offer more information about sports, movies, restaurants and more. While introducing Siri in iOS 6, Scott Forstall said Since Siri was introduced in October 2011 with the iPhone 4S, Siri has been studying up and learning a lot more." Siri will be helping you now to make restaurant reservations, getting movies reviews and also tweet for you.
Now it is possible to launch apps using Siri, for example if you want to launch Angry Birds just say the apps name and the Siri would do it for you in the next moment. So the features of this exclusive tool have been improved.
Social Networking Facebook
iOS 6 offers something special to Facebook users. It has been designed to integrate better with Facebook. Due to this feature, you are provided the facility to enter your password just once to enable you to post Facebook from a variety of apps. Using the new facility, you can post directly from Apple's Safari browser.
Moreover, Facebook will also be integrated with Apple's online app store so that you can notify that you "like" particular apps, songs and movies in iTunes. Now you dont require to login to your Facebook account to check events and birthdays of your Facebook friends as the calendar will appear on your phone itself.
Maps
The launch of iOS 6 has revealed that the Apple's mobile devices are likely to have a built-in-house mapping program. So far, Apples devices were using the Google map. In recent past two companies have become business rivals of each other as Googles Android smartphones and tablets are giving tough competition to Apples mobile devices. These issues have prompted Apple to launch its own map app with iOS6. Moreover, Google has been using some features like turn-by-turn direction spoken aloud to be exclusively used by Android devices.
The new mapping app introduced with iOS 6 will also have a voice navigation feature. It will provide users real-time traffic data that will be helpful in choosing alternative routes in case of traffic congestion and obstruction.
This newly introduced map app from Apple will be integrated with the Siri virtual assistant so that you can virtually post traffic queries and ask for directions.
Password
iOS 6 accommodates another useful and improved app called Password. This allows you to collect and store boarding passes, store cards, movie tickets and all the required stuff that you require for printing and scanning.
With this app, your device will let you know even about gift cards from hotels or restaurants that you are planning to reach. For availing this feature you simply require to turn on the location feature. Likewise, when you reach a movie theater or baseball stadium, the ticket will start popping up on the device. Moreover, this app is very useful because it alerts you to get changes and flight delays once you have been issued a boarding pass.
FaceTime
FaceTime is another app that has been improved in iOS 6. Now this has been developed to work over 3G that was previously working only on Wi-Fi. With this improved app, you can place a call either with the phone number or your Apple ID.
Apart from the abovementioned there are many more features that have been provided with the new operating system. Apple has been working hard on it and expects it to be a better move to counter the competition posed by Googles Android.
