Apple Iphone 5 Features On Expected Lines Only, Nothing Earth Shattering!

Yes! Apple Inc has kept its word (or should it be the medias faith) and announced the sixth generation device that is being called the Apple iPhone 5

. The Cupertino-based technology giant launched amidst much fanfare and media glare the iPhone 5 device and talked eloquently about its enhanced features and how it is one of its kind.

First things first! Apple stuck to its traditional favourite the Yerba Buena Centre for Arts as the venue for the grand announcement of the arrival of the iPhone 5 device.

The Apple iPhone 5 is going on pre-order from September 17th onwards here. And is to be available for commercial sale in select markets including the UK, and USA.

Apple manages to deliver on most counts, still may find the going difficult this time around!

To be fair, Apple has indeed added some remarkable features but still it falls short of the phenomenal expectations that it itself has created in the minds of valued users across the globe as well as the levels that the competition has reached,

For instance, the Apple iPhone 5 sports one of the finest display touchscreens that is ably backed by the globally acknowledged as the best in the business Retina Vision technology. But still, it most certainly cannot be said that it is better than the stunning 4.8 inches wide Super AMOLED led touchscreen of the current best selling smartphone the Samsung Galaxy S3.

The inclusion of the latest Apple iOS 6 version of the operating system that offer 200 odd features starting with the enhanced Siri voice command feature, Facebook integration, etc . is certainly a welcome addition.

The A6 processor is also fine. As is the iSight eight mega pixel camera. The provision of 4G LTE connectivity was something that Apple just could not postpone anymore.

Apple should focus on the enormous value being offered, not rely on false claims!

All in all, it is a good product. But to lead the smartphone market, Apple has claimed that the iPhone 5 is the slimmest ever smartphone. This is not true and has been promptly pointed out by more than a few experts. Motorola alone has a couple of handsets that are less than 7.6 mm.

Isnt it time Apple refrained from making false claims in the name of aggressive marketing? Already, the iPhone 4S has been embroiled in a customer complaint in Australia as the device was being touted as 4G LTE compliant gadget.

The next few weeks are going to be critical for Apple as if the iPhone 5 does not sell say about eight to ten million units, then it is difficult to see it make a comeback later.
