Oftentimes, this method works with additives such as lime, cement, or calcium chloride, among others. Of all these additives, it is the cement mixed with existing soil that is most preferred for areas with poor soil quality. Depending on how poor the quality of the soil is, soil-cement can be prepared in three different ways compacted, cement-modified, and plastic soil-cement.

You have to keep in mind however, that soil stabilizing using soil-cement is affected by a number of factors, one of which is the cement content. As a rule, cement content should a 50-pound bag for every square yard. There should also be proper water content as well as adequate compaction for the soil stabilization to be successful.
