25. It is better to use goldfish while you are ammonizing the tank. Don't use any other fish till the process ends.
26. Never use new fish in the tank until you make sure that the water is crystal clear.
27. The tradition is to start with a single fish or four different types of hardy fish, one of each type for the new tank. You may opt to any of it.
28. To acclimatize the fish to the water temperature of the tank is a critical point. So you should afloat fish in a bag into the tank for about twenty minutes before leaving it open in the water tank.
29. To avoid any contaminations, you should not add the bag water to the aquarium while you are transferring the fish from the bag into the tank.
30. A check on the proper lighting of the aquarium is also essential. A hood may help you in doing so.
