Are All Boots Durable And Comfortable?

Work boots in general have a longstanding history as being one of the most durable types of shoe wear available

. The reason for this is that unlike tennis shoes or sneakers, people that wear the boots do so in industries where safety and durability are a big concern. A lot of the people that wear boots are people in the workman industries like construction sites, army and other military areas, warehouse workers, factory workers, etc. These people deal with heavy machinery and heavy objects all day long and need a boot that can keep up with them! Not all boots are created equal of course, it depends on the brand, type and most of all the material used in making the boot.

When it comes to buying these types of shoes, it's important to understand what kind of an out sole the shoe has. There are three main types of out soles. The first kind of called a cement construction sole. These soles are considered to be the strongest of all three and are particularly used for people that work outside. The bond of this sole is attached to the upper part of the boot with an adhesive. The second kind is a Goodyear Welt. This involves sewing the outer sole to the upper portion of the sole. The third kind of a direct attach, this is the cheapest shoe, but also the cheapest in quality as well and is the weakest of the four involved here.

The direct attach involves injecting the outer sole into the upper portion in liquid form where it dries and hardens. If you have bought boots before you probably already know that some of them last a few months, and others end up lasting for years and years! And if you work in a fast paced environment and use the shoe a lot you know that its not because of the work you put the shoe through or lack thereof, it's because of the quality of the boot itself! Besides the quality of the sole, the upper part of the shoe is important as well. The types of shoe you buy are going to heighten or lessen the quality.

The most popular type of shoe is the oiled leather, full-grain, leather, nubuck and suede. Each material will be suited for different kinds of environments, depending on what kind of a job or occupation you have. It's important that when choosing a material you take sometime looking around to find out the best use for each shoe; have it be the material, sole, tracks, etc.
