Fishnets can also be worn at festivals which is perfect as if you were to wear trousers or skirts they could become wet and uncomfortable with the unpredictable weather, however tights do not create this problem and can easily be changed if they become ripped. At a festival you do not want to ruin your best clothes so tights provide the perfect accessory for a comfortable and stylish look.

Designers such as Henry Holland have updated the classic fishnet design by adding details to it such as animal print, or brands such as Wolford also create floral fishnet patterns. These updated modern versions of the fishnet allow the tights to enter into the fashion category rather than just an everyday basic. As well as the discussion whether fishnets are fashion or a necessity, there is also an age issue surrounding the garment. Many people believe that an older lady shouldnt wear fishnet tights, however is it really important how old you are, as long as you feel comfortable in the hosiery you are wearing?
