Are Postal Workers Really above the Law?

Are Postal Workers Really above the Law?
As I drove past the Post Office this morning I couldn't help but remember the events of the previous day as outlined in my article "Uncle Sams Scam" what upset me most about the entire process was probably the comment that "You can't call the Police on US we're the Government!!"
The more I thought about it, I realized what a dangerous turn our Postal System and its employee's have taken. I believe this is why the system is failing year by year. Losing money, needing to cut hours, staff, offices, and even more services.
A far cry from when Francisco Estudillo Jr., San Jacinto's first postmaster was in charge. Now 126 years later we are left with a broken system and a postmaster Alex Preclaro who is unwilling to recognize todays issues. I have spoken with Mr. Preclaro at great length over many issues only to realize that he really doesn't understand the problems or lacks the will to fix them.
Now there are some good employees out there mainly the clerks who really know there stuff and are willing to bend over backwards to help you, but alas their hands are tied by a mis-managed system and so it goes each day over and over again. An example would be todays letter from the post office telling me my claim which you'll remember was alive and well yesterday, can not be found in the system. That's funny I found it, it's still there. Hasn't moved.
So one has to ask the ultimate question which may be offensive to some but none the less the truth. Are the Postal Managers, Postamsters, and Accountants just stupid? Or are they just lazy? Which is it? Sooner or later one has to say enough with the oversights already or quit because your incompetent. Today was that example. We can't find it, it's right there, plain as day,, did you even try???
If someone went to Postmaster Preclaro's parents house and took $50.00 from them he would get mad. Well I'm tired of him and all of the other workers fleecing good hard working citizens of their money. Do you really think that $80,000 to $98,000 is a fair salary? Let me ask you this if you had a company of your own as I do would you pay an employee what you make to do what you do, including medical, paid vacations etc. You probably won't be honest so i'll answer it for you. No Way.
You would think for that kind of money that you would at least read the manuals issued about your job and try to understand it a little. I have corrected our San Jacinto Postmaster over 8 times on issues that were clearly laid out in the handbook given to him for free, I had to get mine off the internet and pay to print it. The bottom line is nobody cares because they do feel they are above the law. It takes an act of congress to fire one of them, the union has to get involved blah blah blah. There's the problem. When you take away any consequences then where does the will to do right go. Exactly , just like your children. They only do it because they no a punishment is looming if they don't.
Stop being children and start acting like adults, put GOD back in the equation and you will see the difference not only in your life but in all of those you touch.
