I have heard many people say like this: why on earth I need to pay a reverse phone number look-up or a people search? There are plenty of sites offering Free cellphone tracking online! Moreover, there is the white pages at my finger tip, free as well!

I personally use paid cell phone tracking online, and I can extract a bunch of info on any person I need. It gives me an extra edge over many things. I know how to use this information effectively and ethically in my advantage. However, it embarrasses me when I hear statements as above from other people. I wonder are the services offered at the white pages and other sites really free?

One day I decided to see myself. I find this page from Google: The Official White Pages - Find People for Free. In here, they are offering four services.

1. People Find

2. Find a Business

3. Reverse Phone, and

4. Reverse address

I clicked on Reverse Phone tab. I entered a cell phone number. Hurray! They found the owner of the number! They say, " Available, Click here for full information". I clicked to get full information, and my search ends there. They are charging close to $10 to get that info.

I thought maybe they are allowing only land line numbers not a cell phone number for reverse search. So I entered a land line number of the same person. Oh! They came out successful again. The name against the phone number they gave is absolutely correct. However, when I tried to get the full report on that person, there was a charge of almost $40 per year.

Disappointed, I turn to 'Find People' tab. This time I entered a first name and last name in the search box and hit the button. Well, they came up with the correct address at least. However, the age they was at least 20 years less than actual age! There was a tab named 'get full details' too! Before hitting it, I knew what will happen. Yes, the full details' close to $40 to get the full info.

Can we say services of the white pages as they claim? If we remain honest, we have to say, yes. Because they provide an info or two for free indeed. You will find the info you are getting for free is not useful. All the info is lying at another side. want that? You have to pay.

Do not waste your time and energy exploring Free cellphone tracking online or free people search sites. Rather compare price and service quality of a few paid cellphone tracking online sites. If you do you can end up the best deal out there.
