After doing Internet marketing for over 10 years I have a pretty good idea at what it takes to make money online
. I also have a pretty good idea at whether someone is going to fail or succeed as an Internet marketer.
Let me explain!
I think you can define whether people are going to succeed or fail based on a couple of key points.
1. How are you going to make money online?
2. Are you willing to learn Internet marketing skills?
On the first point it is important that you understand whether you are a worker or business oriented. An Internet worker is somebody who wants to trade time for dollars. Somebody who is business-oriented is willing to invest time now with the goal of making money later.
In my case I was always focused on building a full time Internet income. This meant I was willing to do whatever it took to build an internet business. Not everyone is built this way.
For starters you need to be entrepreneurial if you're going to build an Internet business. An entrepreneur can ride out the ups and downs they are going to face.
A worker is somebody who wants to sit down at their computer and get paid for the work they are going to do. This is why so many people succeed at Fiverr, iWriter, or even paid for surveys sites.
You know exactly what you're going to make for the work you are performing. You also know when you're going to get paid and there is certainly nothing wrong with this.
As a matter of fact I would prefer to see some people quickly identify that this is their goal is and get started making money right away. If this were to happen more people would actually stick with Internet marketing because they really would make money.
Internet marketing skills are the other thing that I see most people lack. The only way around this is if you have money to outsource the things it takes to build an Internet business.
Otherwise you are going to have to learn how to do a few basic things such as build a website, drive traffic to it, and monetize it with products and programs you can make money with. This is not as easy as it sounds and most people who never make any money fail to master these skills.
In summary you are destined to fail at making money online if you do not determine how you are going to go about it, and develop the basic skills it takes to either be an Internet worker or an Internet business owner.
