You may ask yourself, Why do I need to know this? Do I need to develop my abs and have a six-pack? Youmay not wish to display your six-pack, but it is important to know that we can all tighten those muscles around ourmidsections, using probably the best ab exercise. We all have a six-pack, but its just hidden and can not be seen. We just have to work on them. By developingyour abs, you will not only look good, and feel great. More importantly, you will strengthen your lower abdominalmuscles. Repeatedly, we are told that any form of exercise is good for us. I would like to take it one level further,and say that by working your abs muscles, your breathing improves and most importantly your posture which isnot a bad thing! Some would say, that there are many exercises that you can do to develop your abs. However, the best absexercise has to be the crunch. A few years ago you were told how to perform the exercise, and you just did it bylaying on the floor. Hopefully, the exwecise started working those muscles and you hoped for the desired effect. These days, new and interesting ways have been developed to assist people in doing this particular exercise. Itworks the muscles in the same way, but ensures that the right group of muscles are being used. This new andeasier method involves using a piece of equipment called the exersise ball. You might not think so, but it is avery effective exercise, one that can be done at home, or at your local gym at your own pace. Obviously, as with all exercises routines, the more effort you put into it, the better the benefits. Consistency alsohelps, and by following a daily exercise routine, you will be well on your way to developing those hidden abs. A slight variation of the crunch, is the The reverse crunch. Unlike the normal crunch, you bring your knees intowards your chest while keeping your feet together. The purpose of this exercise uses your abs to lift your hipsup off the floor, instead of using your legs to create any momentum.
