they get access to news and information that you don't always find or get an easy access via the mainstream media!! Morevover the end user of social media gets a fair chance to voice out his/her opinion (s). End users can simply blog, write ,vote or submit news ,articles, information which they feel is valuable, and if it is enjoyed by likeminded users then they would further vote for it, spread it, support it and help it reach millions of people literally within the twinkle of an eye!.

Social media interaction is believed to be a major driving force in making this world a smaller place. It's nothing but a combination of technology and social interaction for the co-creation of value based information and a healthy use of the same for vivid purposes.

But alas today no longer the community aspect of social media remains the same! The whole system of social interaction has undergone a drastic change which has deteriorated the actual value of social media!! The community aspect is no longer a part of social media!!

As a user what I really appreciated about social networking websites like Digg, Reddit, Sphinn was that they were communities based web pages and everyone had a fair chance to share/upload whatever he/she felt like. But now, the picture is changed and it is more of like a cold, censored, and downright unsocial website rather being a social and user friendly website! These websites are now controlled by their respective owners/moderators and they allow users only to share/upload what they (owners/moderators) deem to be right.

There are online marketing websites to promote varied products/services! But those marketing websites should not be combined with social networking websites or else the later loses its sole value of social interaction!! It then becomes a boredom and monotonous way of communicating.
