Are You in Search of the Best Way to Burn Fat
?
One of the questions I hear all the time is whether there is a "best way" to burn fat. Well, the answer is yes and no. Many people who have spent years of their lives trying to lose weight have failed because the information they have is incorrect, but others have succeeded doing the same exact thing.
How is that possible? Well, each of us is different, and some have the ability to stick to the most illogical plans and win through, regardless of the odds.
There are some common characteristics that you will find in successful fat loss plans. Rethinking your method of eating, exercising in the right way, building a motivational network and more are all important if you are going to do this the right way.
Rethinking Eating
Many diet programs will tell you that you need to redefine your relationship with food, and that is completely true. Their solution is to box up all sorts of tasteless, heavily processed foods and sell them to you for ridiculous sums of money. That doesn't redefine anything it makes you dependent on their overpriced junk.
To rethink how you eat, and turn your body into a fat burning machine again, you need to become more acquainted with food real food. That means stop purchasing processed, packaged foods and head to the local healthy food store or farmers market and educate yourself properly.
Purchase organic foods that are easier on the earth and your body. Stick to lean, grass fed meats, organic free roaming poultry, wild caught fish and whole, organically farmed eggs. Pick up organic whole grains in bulk and combine small portions with your proteins, vegetables and fruits. Make eating a pleasure again and you will be surprised at how smaller portions satisfy you more body and soul.
Exercising Restraint
When it comes to working out, we are a nation obsessed. Either we spend hours a day at the gym or we avoid it like the plague. Neither option is actually healthy. Cardiovascular exercise is good for the heart and endurance, but in the long run, too much cardio will not do a thing for helping you lose weight. While it is true that your body burns calories while exercising, hours of cardio will encourage your body to store fat in anticipation of your return to the treadmill.
Combine shorter bursts of cardio exercise with resistance training. Not only are you teaching those rapid twitch fibers to work harder, thereby burning fat even when not at the gym, you increase muscle quantity and tone. More muscle burns more fat; it is a simple equation. If you don't know how to create a number of resistance workouts that you can alternate, hire a trainer who understands your goals. It is money well spent.
Motivation Matters
There are going to be people who will question your choices and try to undermine your new way of life. They may mean no harm, but you have to develop a strategy that allows you to ignore them without seeming rude. Whether you build your motivational support network online with others who are following the same lifestyle or you recruit your best friend to help you out, you will need people in your corner, especially when you just start your new plan.
It only takes a few weeks to develop new habits, and that is about as long as it will take for you to see the incredible changes in your body and outlook. So, is there one "best way" to lose fat? What do you think?
