Arrested Development Seasons Spur More Laughter!

Over the years, the content and the presentation of sitcoms have undergone a sea change

Contrary to popular beliefs, comedy is a genre of production that requires great creativity and excellent presentation for it to leave a mark on the viewers and establish itself as a leading favourite. The Arrested Development seasons were able to score points on all these accounts and were therefore able to establish themselves amongst the very favorites of the viewers and the critics alike. The show is based on a family by the name of Bluth, which is dysfunctional and was formerly quite wealthy. This concept of dysfunctional family creates ample room for the creative mind to run a roller coaster of comic emotions, and Arrested Development in all its seasons and episodes manages to do just that.

The series debuted on the television in the year 2003 and during the next four seasons on air, it managed to bag six Emmy awards and one Golden Globe. By that time, it also established itself and left a strong impact on viewers mind. The TIME magazines recognition of the show amongst the top 100 series of all time is a pointer to its immense credibility. After it went off air, fans could still watch Arrested development online as many of the websites had all the episodes in their library. The characters of the show were pretty well defined and nicely conceptualized. Therefore, the viewers loved them and like to talk about the actors, who have put in a fantastic portrayal of the members of a dysfunctional family. All these make it a great fun to watch Arrested Development whether on television or online.

Also in all this hara-kiri, the central character of the family, which is that of Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman), is a very honorable man who tries to keep his manipulative, selfish and materialistic family together. This in itself also gives a moral message for those who have watched it or those who still access Arrested Development episodes online. Though his job is not as easy as viewers realize, the fact is that he constantly tries and is faced with some comical situations is worth watching and provides a wonderful and enjoyable entertainment.

The show ran for three seasons with a total of 53 episodes and the last four Arrested Development episodes were aired back to back in a four hour slot specially designed by the network, which could also viewed online now. Those were final episodes and therefore drafted in such fashion. The DVDs were out pretty quickly considering the public demand and the online versions as well.
