Art And Theater Camps For Young Women Enrich Summer Experience

As summer quickly approaches, parents are seeking the perfect summer experience for their sons and daughters

. A popular option is either a day or over-night camps. For young girls with an eye on stardom or skills in art inspired industries, a camp with an artsy focus may be just what your budding star is seeking.

Camps of every sort can be found around the world. They range from what is commonly called "traditional" to very specialized. Traditional formats are usually in a setting that offers assorted outdoor activities, such as swimming, boating, hiking, cooking, songs and stories around a fire pit, and learning how to live together in tents or cabins. The focus is usually on building socialization and team work skills, as well as enhancing self esteem.

Specialized formats are more skill building oriented in the child's specific area of interest and talent. These can include individual and group sports, computer use and programming, website building, animal husbandry, writing, and of course, for those who are more artistically and theatrically inclined, there are art and theater camps.
