Artesanias are handmade articles of jewelry, tapestries, purses, wallets, clothing and various articles made totally by hand. These artesanias are made by the indigenous people of several countries in Central and South America. Most of these treasures can be found in Colombia and Ecuador and some in Panama, Guatemala, and Peru. Much of the production of these artesanias is found in the Andes Mountains. On the North Coast of Colombia near Panama also one can find many of these pieces of artwork.

Bull horns are used to make earrings. Most of the woven goods are hand spun hand woven articles from Alpaca wool. Most of the purses are made of wool. These products are always unique. They are one of a kind pieces of art. All of these artesanias require many hours and in many cases weeks of very hard detail work, but the end product is a usable, wearable piece of artwork. They are the kind of things that one buys and eventually passes on to their loved ones.

You can find people who import these treasures to the United States and sell them at reasonable prices. I live in Columbia and travel to Ecuador to purchase many products. All of these unique treasures are shipped to the United States where I sell them on my web site. This a labor of love. I have the opportunity to travel and experience other cultures while searching for unique products to export. It is a little frustrating because I can never find the same thing twice, so when I find something I like, I purchase it immediately, because I realize that I will never find one exactly like it in the future.
