For the newbie Article Marketer, the article resource box is the section at the end of an article where the writer is allowed to invite the reader to click a link or anchor text in order to visit his/her website or landing page. It is the writer's opportunity to promote the product or service he/she is interested in selling which cannot be done in the article content.

One of these carefully created links can build a massive list, which ultimately buy products. So, the article resource box is one of the most important sections of the article if you want to make money online. Here are a few tips to make your resource box sizzle.

- Do not make it about you. Okay forget your ego or how much you want the world to know about you. Do not fall into the trap of making it all about you. Instead focus on your reader and how you can help solve his/her problem by continuing on to your website or landing page.


- Be a problem solver. Do not use too much hype but rather how you may be able to help solve your reader's problem or make his/her life easier. Make it about the reader and not about just trying to sell a product. It is better to give first and worry about the sale later.

- The trade off. The reader is asking, "Why do I want to trade my name and email for what the author has to give?" This is your opportunity to shine. Show what you have is valuable and worth the trade off. Instead of writing "Click on this link and watch this video and buy my product because you need it now," it would be better to write "I would like to give you Instant Access to my new Free Report on...(whatever it is the reader is looking for)."

- Call to action. Man is this a BIG mistake. Some writers do not even give the reader a chance to visit his/her website, blog or landing page. The writer just ends the article with "My name is such and such and I am a world recognized grand something or other with a whole bunch of titles and I am great!" What a waste of valuable space and guess what...the reader does not care!

You must tell the reader what to do and invite him/her to take the action. If not, then the reader may want more but does not understand how to get it from you.
