For many of us, especially newbies, article marketing can be atough task to attempt to begin since it seems so time consuming and involved

. You have to write articles and submit them to various article directories -- both of which would take hours.

However, the benefits that you receive from article marketing are fantastic and far outweigh the time that it takes up. Article marketing could be the missing element from your online promotion mix. You'll be able to see increased direct traffic, higher search engine standings and you'll establish yourself as a trusted expert resource within your niche market.

With all of these benefits you should be ready and eager to give article marketing a try. Follow these tips to help maximize your results.

1. Increase your productivity. Don't write one or two articles in a week and expect to see results. Pick up the pace and try to submit 5 or 10 articles per day. You'll see a large increase of inbound links which will improve your search engine results and you'll really establish a strong online presence and authority.

2. Be informative. Your articles have to be filled with unique, informative and useful content. People won't read your articles and click on your links just because they are out there. You have to be providing them with something. A reader should come away with something that can improve their life in some way. 3. Limit your submission sites. Don't worry about trying to submit your articles to each and every directory that's out there. Stick to the biggest and most popular ones, such as Ezines and Go Articles that really produce results for your websites.

4. Improve quality. If you rush through the article submission process you could end up with spelling mistakes and other unsightly errors that ruin the effect of your articles. So take the time to go over them carefully. Review them, read them over and proofread them to eliminate any errors that will hinder your successes.
