ASCENDING INTO THE HILL OF GOD (PART 3)
The second part of this article mentioned some of the things that do prevent a saint in Christ not to ascend in the spirit and why it is somehow difficult for most Christians to adhere to the teachings of the gospel. In this last part, the coming of the Master will be focused on but I'll continue from where the second article on this stopped. Do you know that these spirits that rules in the "air" are now working with full vigour? Of course, we all know that we are in the end times and only by His grace can we get to Christ kingdom. These principalities and power are not good things and extremely dangerous. When we are talking of principalities and power, it is not always referred to as the kingdom of darkness because we also have principalities and power in the heavenly kingdom but what is in focus here is that of the satanic kingdom. Like I said earlier, these principalities and power are extremely dangerous to the extent that they will come upon our pastors sometimes which will prevent them to give the correct message to the congregation. Has the devil ever tempt you with the gospel? Maybe saying to you that if you don't, you will end up in hell. Never! The devil cannot tempt you with spiritual stuff but things of the world like politics, money, power, women, men etc. The agenda of the kingdom of darkness is to make you earthly and for not to come into that inheritance. These principalities and power are the one in charge of the nonsensical things now found in the church of this generation; ways of life that are irritating to God. We Christians somehow have a part in delaying the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Do I heard somehow saying, "How?" Well, most Christian don't desire for the coming of the Lord. Then, you begin to hear excuses, "I still want to have my own car" or "This will be a bad time if Christ come, I still want to attain the position of being the richest man in my city." The "I still want" syndrome is everywhere, every nook and cranny of Christendom. With all these, Christians delay the coming of Christ Jesus and fail to ascend in the spirit. This doesn't interest God and cannot make Him to dwell within us, since we are still babies in the spirit. And you know what is funny or unfortunate? These spirits of the "air" also help us keep the ember glowing because they know that the moment the desires of Christians shift away from ephemerals or pleasures of life to the desire of spiritual things, they will meet their waterloo. I want Christians to know that running after the things of the world is not a platform for excuse by saying," It is because of principalities and power or spiritual forces of darkness." You have to come out of that wild goose chase of yours, for ignorance is not an excuse to the devil. He will beat you and mar you. Brethren, know that messages, sermons preached by our pastors, evangelists is already separating the sheep from the goats as this world is about to come an end. If you don't accept the gospel, you're in trouble and if you move to the path of the dark side, you will end up in hell but it is better for you to join the winning side- which is the kingdom of Christ Jesus. Devil is not that concerned if you pray to the extent of causing an earthquake, but will get worried when you make a bolder step of understanding the word of God, thirsty for it and trying to get to know about the things of the spirit. No wonder it is referred to as the sword of the spirit. Do you remember what happened during the time of Daniel when the prince of Persia opposed him? Preventing Daniel not to have understanding of the scripture by delaying Gabriel? That is the extent to which these spirits can go. I want you to know that it takes might to move closer to God and whoever wants to walk with God must walk in obedience. There are some things that prayer cannot solve if you are in ignorance of the word of God and that is while most pray amidst. Knowledge they say is power and whenever there is the word of God, there is liberation and deliverance. Apostle Paul knew too much, a man filled with the knowledge of things in the spiritual realm. It is of no surprise that demons even know him (a good example is that of the sons of sceva).
Fellow brethren in Christ know that the nonsensical things now found in the church will soon end. Many times have I heard preachers and prophets saying that a wind will blow soon on the churches; the wind of revival. And whatever doesn't glorify God and that which hinders the development of the saints will be cut off from the church. Only those who are disciplined and serious shall reside in His tabernacle. I want you to know that many will be swept away by this wind since they are not of God. Now that the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is nearer than most think, how will this happen and take place? I may not have the chance to write about the coming persecutions and the rapture but when Jesus conquered according to the book of Colossians 2:15 which says,
"And on that cross Christ freed himself from the power of the spiritual rulers and authorities; he made a public spectacle of them by leading them as captives in his victory procession" (GNB)
Wow! That is a great confirmation by the scripture about Christ victory. Some versions have "principalities and powers" and this is good news for us because according to this, Christ led them as captives which mean that it is very possible for we saints to free ourselves from the grip of these beings that are making us to run after ephemerals. You got what it takes if only you submit to Christ, live in Christ and walk in Christ. When Christ finished His assignment on earth and was ascending into heaven, He saw those guys still in the "air" and was like saying that what is going on Father? But I've conquered and the reply was given in psalm 110:1-2,
"The LORD said to my Lord,' sit at my right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.' The LORD shall send the rod of your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!"
So, this promise will come to fulfilment very soon, just before Christ come. These beings will be thrown down from the "air" and that was what Isaiah saw when he said,
"How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations!"
This is what will happen to them, the "air" will first be cleansed of these beings before Christ descend to gather up the saints. Those around that time will say (Isaiah 14:16-17) with wonder,
"Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms, who made the world as a wilderness and destroyed its cities, who did not open the house of his prisoners?"
That is how the once cherub of glory shall be trampled upon along with his subordinates.
This being once called Lucifer but is now the Accuser of the brethren is a cherub but also called "the anointed cherub that covereth" according to Ezekiel 28:14. He is a spirit that opposes the works of God and fights with his servants. It takes a spirit that has beheld the face of God and has eyes both within and without that can fight Jehovah. God is very humble but can be dangerous also. Our God is the mighty one who dwells in the midst of the cherubim and will wipe away all tears from the face of his people when the right time comes.
Fellow saints in Christ, it is necessary for you to know that before you can make heaven and exercise the power of the end times which God has handed unto saints we are hearing of, you have to live in Christ, submit to Christ and walk with him in Holiness, Righteousness and Truth. For a man of God once told me that you can't be pure and you say you lack power, those who are anointed walk into it, they do not ask for it because their lifestyle attracts that oil of anointing. You can also be one of those who God will use for us in this world that is passing away. Yes! You can break free from that power of sin if you wish. Brethren in Christ, I want you also to help me in your prayers that God should also move me on in the spirit and not falling out of the race to the kingdom of God. Sons and daughters in Christ, know that the second coming of Christ Jesus is nearer than we think, looking at various events happening in the world now. May His grace hold us to the end. Let every saints say to one another,"maranatha"- "The Lord is coming." What will you say? Are you prepared for His coming? As John the beloved said millenniums ago, "So be it. Come, Lord Jesus!" I will enjoined you also to say, "Come. Come Lord Jesus." May the grace of Lord Jesus be with all saints in Christ. Amen.
