Although morals and values remained an intricate and very interesting element of sitcom plots, religious leaders and their congregations often rebelled against the verbalization beneath the lessons that the sit-coms brought to the forefront of the reality of life for one reason or another. Most of the reason for the backlash by religion was largely due to the acknowlegements of statements written of the likes of one particular sentence on p. 932 of a book written referencing the American Republic-Nation of Nations, "Hollywood movies had long pushed the boundaries of acceptable content, and by the 1970's television began to introduce more controversial and publicized programming." This made for much discomfort. The reflection in the mirror that sit-coms revealed to the American public, especially, created a sort of unorthodox light in respects to the reality of that truth, a truth that, according to religious leaders should be revealed through religious methods and not methods derived by any other means. In respects to religion, those religious few need only to realize and get a grip on life and stop taking it so seriously, after all God does have a since of humor when one thinks about the struggle we face to achieve our mental and physical goals. The material things and the fuss we make over our appearance in regards to the way we look is humorous in itself when we can't take any of it with us, not even our deteriorating bodies. Would one then acknowledge that a sense of humor in light of that is the ultimate under-statement?
