Aston Villa winger Ashley Young has been linked with a number of clubs over recent years and it seems that as the young Englishman continues to make a name for himself within the Premier League, the rumours are only set to increase up until the summer transfer window.

According to Young's Aston Villa team mates, he is looking to secure a move away from the club in the summer, sighting a move to Manchester United as his ideal destination, a move that could well become a reality after Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson admitted that he was interested in the Aston Villa wide man.

Although Ferguson has been interested in the winger for a number of seasons, he has been able to withhold making a bid for the midfielder and it looks like that decision may well pay off for the club, the projected valuation being placed on the winger in the summer thought to be 10 million, where as at the beginning of the season he was valued at 25 million.

Sources close to the player have revealed that with his present deal at the club set to expire at the end of next season, he will be looking to push for a possible move to Manchester United after admitting that it would be the move of his career.

Villa are thought to be interested in extending the players contract at the club in order to keep his services but with the admission that he is looking to move within the summer transfer window, the club could have little choice but to sell the player while they are still able to claim a transfer fee, should his deal expire before they sell him they would receive nothing.
